Since both the loops are given to be similar, it is assumed that they are made of the same material. They are both circular and both carry the equal amounts of current in the same direction.


When both the coils are moved apart, the linked flux will decrease.

 

Therefore, according to Lenz’s law, the current is bound to increase in both the loops in order to increase the flux.
