Two similar parallelograms have its corresponding sides in the ratio 1:k. what is the ratio of their areas.

Hi,  Area of a parallelogram = l × b Suppose the corresponding side is x  Then,  Area1 = lx × bx = x^2(lb) Area2 = kxl × kxb = k^2x^2 (lb) The ratio 1:k^2  Hope it helps you
