Two similar triangles have a scale factor of 2/3. The area of the larger triangle is 12 cm^2. What is the area of the smaller triangle?

according to the ratio ...
2:3..
so, let the area of triangle = 2x & 3x

area of larger = 3x

12 = 3x
x = 4
so, now area of 1st triangle = 2x = 8cm² ans. thanks..

Let the area of smaller triangle be x
12/x=2^2/3^2
12/x=4/9
108=4x
108/4=x
54/2=x
27=x
it will be root 27
