Two skaters A and B of mass 50 kg and 70 kg respectively stand facing each other 6 meters apart. They then pull on a light rope stretched between them. How far has each moved when they meet?

they will acquire the same momentum as they pull each other the skater with more mass will have less velocity whereas the one with less mass will have more velocity comparibly for 0.5kg it will move approximately 4.2m
0.7kg it will move approximately 1.8m
by taking the ratio
for 50kg = 70/50*6 you get is 4.2m and subtracting 6-4.2= 1.8m
