Your question is wrong as 1 body has radius r and 2nd body has radius 2r the initially when they placed apart from each other i.e. they are not in contact then minimum distance between the bodies is greater than 3r because the distance is measured from the center of the body.
So initially 'r' the distance between the bodies is not possible.
