The distance of other kid from fulcrum is 2.25 m

Explanation:

Given that,

Weight of one kid = 8 kg

Weight of another kid = 12 kg

Length = 3 m

Let us take the distance of another kid from fulcrum be x.

We need to calculate the distance of other kid from fulcrum

Using principle of moments

F_{1}\times d=F_{2}\times d

OA\times W_{1}=OB\times W_{2}

Put the value into the formula

x\times 8=1.5\times 12

x=\dfrac{1.5\times12}{8}

x=2.25

Hence, The distance of other kid from fulcrum is 2.25 m
