Answer:

10cm.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the third side(hypotenuse) be x

Using Pythagoras theorem,

(8)²+(6)²=x²

64+36=x²

100=x²

10=x

∴ the length of the third side is 10 cm.

U can use this shortcut

(3,4,5) is a Pythagorean triplet

multiply 2 to it

So (6,8,10) is a also a Pythagorean triplet

the third side is 10cm.

Answer:

HI MATE !

Two smaller sides of a right angled triangle is 6 cm and 8 cm, the third side is 10cm.

Explanation:

In a triangle sum of length of the either of the two sides of a triangle is always greater than the third side so third side will be less then sum of the length of two given sides i.e. ( 6 + 8 = 14cm ) and also the difference of the length of either of two sides will be less than the third side so, third side will be greater than the difference of these two ( 8 - 6 = 2cm )

So, third side will be greater than 2cm and less than 14cm i.e 10 cm.

Hope my answer helps you Dear.. ✌️❤️
