A solution which have pH between 1 to 7 is called an acid. So here, pH of A is 3.0, so A is an acid. Also, we know acid turn blue litmus to red.

A solution which have pH between 7 to 14 is called a basic. So here, pH of B is 10, so B is basic. Also, we know that a basic solution can turn phenolphthalein from colourless to pink.

Answer:

  • A(pH-3.0)=this solution will turn blue litmus paper to red because it is ACID(ph b/w 1 to 7 is ACID)
  • B(pH-10.5)=this solution will turn phenolphthalein from colourless to pinc because it is BASE(ph b/w 7 to 14 is BASE)
