Initially, the two spheres with charges q1 were separated by a distance of r.

Hence, the electrostatic force according to Coulomb's law will be,

F = kq1²/r²

Now, after the charge transfer, one sphere has charge 3q1/4 (since 25% is transferred from it) while the other sphere has 5q1/4 (since 25% is transferred to it).

Hence, the electrostatic force according to Coulomb's law will be,

F = k(3q1/4)(5q1/4)/r²
F = 15kq1²/16r²
