Two spherical balls of masses 2kg and 4kg move along the same line with velocities 1.5m/s and 2 m/s. They collide and after collision the second ball moves with a velocity 1.5 the m/s. Find the velocity of the first ball.

Heya mate......
It is given that
m1= 2kg. m2= 3kg (masses of the bodies)
u1=6m/s and u2=4m/s (where u1 and u2 are initial velocities of the bodies)
v1=? v2=3m/s (where v1 and v2 are final velocities of the bodies)
We know that momentum before collision=
Momentum after collision
And momentum = Mass*Velocity
Therefore, m1*u1+m2*u2=m1*v1+m2*v2
2*6+3*4=2*v1+3*3
12+12=2v1+9
2v1=15
v1=15/2=7.5
HOPE IT HELPS ✌ ✌ ✌
