Two squares are drawn the smaller square has an area of 256 square meters. The areas of the two squares have a ratio of 4 : 9. What is the side length s of the larger square?

area of small square is given- 256 square metre

let the side of bigger square be x

therefore,

x ²/256= 9/4 (given)

x² = 9/4×256

x²= 9×64

x²= 576

x=24
