Both trains will at 9:40am

In the given information let's assume

  • Both trains will meet at t hours after 6 am.
  • The distance covered by train a in t hours is 20km/h
  • And distance covered by train b in t hours is (t-1)

Total distance is 150km / h

= 30t + 20 (t-1) = 150

= 30t + 20 t-20 = 150

= 50 t = 170

= 170 / 50

= t = 3.4(3 hour, 4 minutes)

Hence they will meet after 3.4(3 hour, 4 minutes) after 6 am that is 9.40( 9 hour, 40 minutes).
