as stones are thrown in upward direction,
u1=
a=-10m/s2
v=0m/s
u2
a=-10m/s2
v=0m/s

v=u+at,
here v=u-gt
v=0
u=gt
t=u/g
now s=ut -1/2gt^2
s1=u1×u/g-1/2u1^2/g
=1/2u1^2g
similarly
s2=1/2u2^2/g
s1/s2=u1/u2
(proved) for any doubt you can ask me again.
