Given : Two students are going to represent their school in the national chess competition.

Mara won 8 of the 12 games she played this year, while

Clara won 7 of the 10 games she played this year.

To Find :

which student would you choose

Solution :

Mara won 8 of the 12 games she played this year

Hence Percentage of win = (8/12) * 100

= (2/3) * 100

= 66.67 %

Clara won 7 of the 10 games she played this year.

Hence Percentage of win = (7/10) * 100

= 70 %

70 > 66.67

Hence Clara Should be selected
