  • for a uniform motion where the acceleration is zero that means the force acting on the body is equal to zero there is a uniform LINE which has a particular angle with the x-axis. in case of an accelerated motion there is a hyperbolic curve which is formed. If the object is at rest the distance time graph is a straight line which is parallel to the x-axis.
  • distance time graph can never be parallel to the y-axis because there can never be increase of distance without increasing time
