Two substances A and B are compressed together. The volume of substance A decreases remarkably but that of B shows no change. Write your comment about the activity.​

This activity shows that the substance B is a solid as solids are hard ,rigid and have maximum force of attraction between the particles so their volume does not change and they have definite shape .We can also conclude that substance A is either a gas or liquid as its volume can be reduced easily as the particles in liquids and gases have less force of attraction between them.
