Heya user
Here is your answer !!
__________
Let the sum be x .
D1 = 10 %
D2 = 5 %
So ,
acc. to the question ,
x ( 1 - 10 / 100 ) ( 1 - 5 / 100 ) = x ( 1 - D / 100 )
=> ( 1 - 10 / 100 ) ( 1 - 5 / 100 ) = ( 1 - D / 100 )
=> 90 / 100 * 95 / 100 = ( 100 - D ) / 100
=> 855 / 10000 = ( 100 - D ) / 100
=> 8550 / 100 = 100 - D
=> 85.5 = 100 - D
=> 14.5 = D . [ Answer ] .
So , the single equivalent discount is 14.5 % .

Hope it helps !!
