Step-by-step explanation:

Let the marked price of an article be Rs 100

Discounts given on it = Rs 8% of Rs 100= Rs 8

Reduced prices after 1st discount = Rs (100-8) = 92

Next discount = 12% of Rs 92

 \frac{12}{100} \times 92 = 11.04

price after 2nd discount = Rs ( 92 - 11.04) = 80.96

Therefore, s.p of the article = Rs 80.96

Net discount = MP - SP = Rs ( 100 - 80 .96)= 19.04

Thus , net discount on Mp of Rs 100 is Rs 19.04

Therefore, single discount is 19.04.......
