Let the supplementary angles be 4x and 5x.

4x+5x=180 [SUM OF SUPPLEMENTARY ANGLES]

9x=180

x=20°.

So the angles are =4x=80° and 5x=100°.

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Given :-

Ratio of two supplementary angles = 4 : 5

To Find  :-

The Angles

Formula to be used :-

Sum of angles.

Solution :-

Let the supplementary angles be 4x and 5x.

We know that the sum of supplementary angles is 180°.

According to the Question

Putting all the values, we get

⇒ 4x + 5x = 180°

⇒ 9x = 180°

⇒ x = 180/9

⇒ x = 20

1st Angle = 20 × 4 = 80°

2nd Angle = 20 × 5 = 100°

Verification :-

⇒ 4x + 5x = 180°

⇒ 4 × 20° + 5 × 20° = 180°

⇒ 80°+ 100° = 180°

⇒ 180° = 180°

Verified.
