Given

we have given two supplementary angles in the ratio 3:2

To Find

we have to find the angles

\sf\huge {\underline{\underline{{Solution}}}}

since ,the angles are given in the ratio so, let the first angle be 3x

and the other angle be 2x

Concept:

As we know that two supplementary angles together makes sum of 180°.

So , 3x+2x =180°

=> 5x= 180

=>x = 180/5

x= 36

First angle be 3x = 3*36=108°

second angle be 2x=2*36= 72°

Other Angle =

Extra information=>

The complementary angles together makes sum of 90°.

e.g., if one angle is 'x' then the other angle be '90-x'.

  • Supplementary angles always forms a linear pair whereas complimentary angles forms a right angle.

Topic:-

Supplementary angles

Question:-

Two supplementary angle are in the ratio 3:2. Find the angles

Solution:-

The Supplementary angle means the sum of any two angles is 180 then we can say that they are supplementary angles.

So, Here the given ratio is 3:2

We know that sum of two angles is 180

So, Let the first angle is 3x and second angle is 2x by the given ratio

so, sum of angles =180

3x+2x=180

=> 5x=180

=> x= \dfrac{180}{5}

=> x=  \dfrac{\cancel{180}\:36}{\cancel{5}}

=> x=36

So, Now find the first angle

3x=3×36

=> 3x=108

Also find the value of second angle

2x=2×36

2x=72

So, we got the angles 108 and 72

Answer:-

Angles are 108 and 72

More Information:-

The Supplementary angle means the sum of any two angles is 180 then we can say that they are supplementary angles.

The Complementary angle means the sum of two angles is 90 then we can say that they are complementary angles.
