here's our answer:-

let,1st angle=x°

2nd angle=180°-x°

according to question-

x-(180-x)=24

x-180+x=24

2x=24+180

2x=204

x=102°

1st angle=102°

2nd angle=180°-102°

=78°

Given:

Two supplementary angles differ by 24.

To find:

The angles.

Solution:

The two supplementary angles are 102° and 78°.

To answer this question, we will follow the following steps:

As we know that if two angles 'a' and 'b' are supplementary to each other, then their sum is equal to 180°.

Let the one angle be x°.

So, the other angle will be 180° - x°.

Now,

as given in the question,

Two supplementary angles differ by 24.

So,

x° - (180 - x)° = 24°

x  +  x  -  180 = 24

2x = 204

x = 102°

On putting the value of x in (180° - x°), we get

Another angle

 = 180 - 102

 = 78°

Hence, the supplementary angles are 102° and 78°.
