Given : Two Supplementary angles are in the ratio 4 : 5.

Supplementary angles: Two angles, the sum of whose measures is 180°, are called supplementary angles :

Let the two angles be 4x and 5x in degrees. Then :

∴ 4x + 5x = 180°

⇒ 9x = 180°

⇒ x = 180°/9

⇒ x = 20°

First angle = 4x  = 4 × 20° = 80°

Second angle = 5x = 5 × 20° = 100°

Hence,  the measures of two angles are 80° and 100°.
