✔️Question : -

Two angles are in the ratio 4:5

✔️ To find : -

The supplementary angles = ?

✔️ Solution : -

Option B is the answer !!!

Let the angles be 4x and 5x respectively.

The condition to be an supplementary angles is the sum of all angles must be equal to 180°

Let's add up the unknown angle and equate it with 180°

4x + 5x = 180°

9x = 180°

x = 180/9

=> x = 20°

Now lets substitute the value of "x"

4x = 4(20) = 80°

5x =5(20) = 100°

Hence option B is the answer !

Question:-

Two supplementary angles are in the ratio 4:5, then the angles are

a) 90°, 90°

b) 80°, 100°

c) 30°, 150°

d) 45°, 45°

Answer:-

  • Option (b) 80°,100°

Solution:-

Need to know:

  • Sum of supplementary angles is 180 °

  • Let us take the sum of supplementary angles is 4x and 5x respectively.

According to question,

4x +5x =180 °

9x = 180 °

x = 180/9

x = 20°

now,

  • 4x = 4×40=80 °

  • 5x = 5×40 =100°

Sum of two supplementary angles is 80° and 100°!!!
