• What are the measures of both the angles?

Formula to be used :-

Sum of two supplementary angles is 180°.

Given that,

Ratio of two supplementary Angles is = 7:8

Let the two supplementary Angles be 7x and 8x.

According to the question :-

We are asked to find the measures of both the angles.

As we know that,

Sum of two supplementary angles is 180°.

Therefore,

⟼ 7x + 8x = 180

⟼15x = 180

⟼ x = 180/15

⟼ x = 12

Hence,

1st supplementary Angle = 7x = 7 × 12 = 84°

2nd supplementary Angle = 8x = 8 × 12 = 96°

Verification :-

Sum of two supplementary angles is 180°.

⟼ 84° + 96° = 180°

⟼ 180° = 180°
