Solution :

**************************************

Sum of any two angles is equal

to 180° is called supplementary

angles .

**************************************

Here ,

( x + 42 ) + ( 3x - 62 ) = 180°

=> 4x - 20 = 180°

=> 4x = 180° - 20°

=> 4x = 160°

=> x = 160/4

=> x = 40

Answer:

(x+42) +(3x-62) = 180

x+3x + 42 -62=180

4x -20 = 180

4x = 180 +20

4x = 200

x = 200/4 cut them

x=50

for checking that is your answer right ✅️ or not

50+42+(150-62)=180

92+88=180

our answer is right
