So,

x+y=180°[since x and y are supplementary which means their sum is 180°] ______(1)

x=y+50[as x and y differ by 50]______ (2)

Putting (2) in (1)

y+50+y=180°

2y+50=180°

2y=130°

y=65°

And now putting y=65° in (1)

x+65=180°

x=115°
