1st angle = 2× x = 2x
2nd angle = 7 × x = 7x

we know that,
supplementary angles add up to 180°

therefore,

2x + 7x = 180

9x = 180

$x = \frac{180}{9}$
x = 20

hence,

1st angle = 2x = 2× 20° = 40°

2nd angle = 7x = 7 × 20° = 140°
