Two tangent AB and BC Intersect at point B at chalnage 210 cm Calculate all necessary data for setting
out simple circular curve of radius 100 m and dollectlon angle of 40° by the method of offsets for the lona
chord Take Intervalbetweanturdinates asi 50
m
Soin. :
R = 100 m
0 = 40°
Chainage at intersection = 210 m
Peg interval = 5.0 m
I RO m X 100 X 40
Length of curve =
180
А
Length of tangent = R tan z = 100 tan* = 100 tan 20
= 36.40 m
Chainage at T, = 210 – 36.40 = 173.6 m.
T2 = 69.81 + 173.6
= 243:41 m .
No of chords = 12 nos each 5 m:
Fig. P. 8.12.14
1" X last chord C, XC 4 = 9.81 = 4.905m
R = 100m
how to calcultae no. of chords???
