Given : 180 L and 200 L capacity tanks
The maximum capacity of the bucket exactly measures the water in two tanks will be given by the HCF of 180 and 200.
180 = 2×2×3×3×5
200 = 2×2×2×5×5
So, HCF = 2×2×5 = 20
So, The maximum capacity of the bucket exactly measures the water in two tanks will 20 L
So, the no. of times to fill to empty two tanks
= 180/20 + 200/20
= 9 times + 10 times
= 19 times
So it will take 19times to empty both the tanks.
