Question :-

Two tankers contain 1020 litres and 1530 litres of kerosene oil respectively . Find the maximum capacity of a container which can kerosene oil of both the tankers when used an exact number of times

To find :-

• Find the maximum capacity of a container which can kerosene oil of both the tankers when used an exact number of times .

solution :-

Given :-

• capacity of 1st tank = 1020

• capacity of 2nd tank = 1530

now,

Frist let's find the hcf of 1020 and 1530

we get

\dashrightarrow\sf \: 1020 - 2 \times 2 \times 3 \times 5 \times 17 \\ \\ \\ \dashrightarrow\sf \: 1530 - 2 \times 3 \times 3 \times 5 \times 17 \\ \\ \\ \:\dashrightarrow\sf \: after \: hcf \: we \: get \: \\ \ \\ \\ \dashrightarrow\sf = 2 \times 3 \times 5 \times 17 = 510

hence the maximum capacity of a container which can kerosene oil of both the tankers when used an exact number of times is 510 litres
