Given:  Two tankers contain 135 and 225 litres of water respectively.

To Find : The maximum capacity of a container which can measure the water of each tanker in the exact number of times

Solution:

To find The maximum capacity of a container which can measure the water of each tanker in the exact number of times  we need to find HCF of  capacity of both the tankers

135 = 3 * 3 * 3 * 5  = 3³ * 5¹

225 = 3 * 3 * 5 * 5 = 3² * 5²

HCF Highest common factor of given numbers is the largest factors which divides all the given numbers perfectly.

HCF = product of common factors of least power

HCF = 3² * 5¹ = 9 * 5 = 45

Hence maximum capacity of a container which can measure the water of each tanker in the exact number of times is 45 Litres

Option c) is correct
