Two taps running together can fill a bath in 4 minutes, which is filled by one of the taps by itself in 7 minutes. How long would ut take if the other pipe is running by itself??​

Two taps running together can fill 1/4th of the bath in 1 minute.

One tap alone can fill the bath in 7 minutes.

Therefore it can fill 1/7th of the tap in 1 minute.

The second tap alone can fill 1/4 - 1/7 of the tap in 1 minute.

i.e., 3/28th of the tap in 1 minute.

That is second tap alone can fill the tap in 28/3 minutes = 91/3 minute
