Two thin lenses of power+4D &-2D are in contact. What is the focal length of the combination

Power of the combination lens = +4D - 2D
= +2D
Now, Focal length = 1/Power of lens
= 1/2(+ve)
= 0.5(+ve)...

Power of lens=p1+p2

=4D+-2D

=2D
