two tiny holes are made in a plastic bucket. one is near the middle part and other just above bottom. when this bucket is filled with water the water rushes out from the bottom hole much faster. why?

It is because the lateral pressure increases with increase in depth. That's why the base of the dams are made broader at the base.

Because of large pressure the water gushes out through the lower hole much faster than the hole in the middle.

The pressure exerted by Water increases with increasing depth of water........
