Two towers of height 30 m and 20 m are built at a distance of 24 m. Find the distance

between the tops of the towers.​

so let's start

If the height of the tower is 20 and second is 30 then let's assume a triangle on top of the figure

now we can see that there is a 24, second 10 and third missing length in the triangle and the rectangle we can find.

triangle contains a right angle too

therefore using Pythagoras theorm:

12^2 + 23^2 = 13^2

24^2 + 10^2 = x^2

576 + 100 = x^2

676 = x^2

x = 26

therefore the distance between two towers is 26cm
