Let the speed of Jagdish car be x km/hour.

The speed of prakash car exceeded the the speed of Jagdish car by 10km/hr

Speed of Prakash car be (x + 10) km/hour.

In 5 hours Jagdish and Prakash traveled 5x km and 5(x + 10) km respectively.

Total distance travelled by them = (400 - 10) km = 390 km.

5x + 5(x + 10) = 3905x +5(x +10)=390

10x + 50 = 39010x +50=390

10x = 34010x =340

x = 34x =34

Speed of Jagdish car = 34 km/hour.

Speed of Prakash car = (34 + 10) km/hour = 44 km/hour.

Hence Speed of jagdish and Prakash car is 34 km/hr and 44 k /hr respectively
