Two towns A and B are 400 km apart rohan and Rahul started their cars from towns A and B respectively at the same time towards each other .after 3 hrs thy were 10 kilometers apart,the speed of Rohan car exceeded the the speed of Rahul car by 10km/hr , find their respective speeds.

Speed of Rohan car exceeded the speed of Rahul car by 10km/hr

Therefore, Speed of Rohan car = (x + 10) km/hour.

In 5 hours Rahul and Rohan traveled 3x km and 3(x + 10) km respectively.

Total distance travelled by them = (400 - 10) km = 390 km.

3x + 3x + 30 = 390

6x = 390 - 30

6x = 360

x  = 360/6

x = 60
