Two trains A and B start running together from the
same point in the same direction at 90 kmph and
60 kmph respectively. If the length of each train is
250 m, then how long will it take for the train B to
cross train A?

answer : option (B) 1 min
speed of train A = 90 km/h = 90 × 5/18 = 25 m/s
speed of train B = 60 km/h = 60 × 5/18 = 50/3 m/s
relative speed of Train A with respect to train B = 25 - 50/3 = 25/3 m/s
now total distance covered = length of train A + length of train B
= 250 m + 250 m = 500 m
now, time = distance/speed
so, time taken = 500m/(25/3 m/s) = 60 sec
= 1 min
