Velocity of train "A" moving east is 20 m/s.

Velocity of train "B" moving west is 30 m/s.

As they are moving in east and west direction which is directly opposite to each other.

As compared to velocity of train A is negative as it moves in opposite direction.

So, the relative velocity is 50 m/s.
