given,

fast train is  65km/hr

slow train is 45km/hr

time =18 sec

then,

The length of the faster train is

=(65 -45 )*(5/18)*18

=100 m

Given :  two trains are moving in the same direction speed 65km/hr and 45km/hr.

the faster train crosses the man sitting in slower train by 18 sec

To Find : The length of the faster train

Solution:

the faster train crosses the man sitting in slower train

Hence distance covered by Faster train = Length of Faster Train + Distance covered by slower train

Distance covered by faster train = 65  * 18/3600

Distance covered by slower train = 45  * 18/3600

Length of Faster Train  = x

=> 65  * 18/3600  = x +  45  * 18/3600

=> 20 * 18/ 3600 = x

=> 0.1  = x

Hence length of Faster train = 0.1 km = 100 m
