Velocity of train (1) = 70 km/hr
Velocity of train(2) = - 50 km/hr (direction opposite to 1)
Relative speed = 70 - (-50) = 120 km/hr = 120 x 5 /18 = 33.33 m /sec
Total distance to be covered by a train = 300 m + 300m = 600 m
Time = Distance / speed = 600 / 33. 33 = 18 seconds.
Hope my answer is correct.
