Answer:

lenth \: of \: trains \: is \: 110 m \\ distance \:  = 110 + 90 = 200m \\ speed \: of \: tarin \: in \: sam \: direction \:  = 40 - 35 = 5kmph \\ then \: time \:  =  \frac{distnce}{speed}  \\ time \:  =  \frac{200}{5}  = 40sec

Answer:

0.04 hours

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : Two trains of length 110 metres and 90 m are running on parallel lines in the same direction with a speed of 35 kmph and 40 kmph, respectively.

To Find : In what time will they pass each other.

Solution:

Length of train 1 = 110 m = 0.11 km

Length of train 2 = 90 m =0.09 km

Total length = 0.11 km +0.09 km = 0.2 km

Speed of train 1 = 35 kmph

Speed of train 2 = 40 kmph

Relative speed = 40-35 = 5kmph

Time =\frac{Distance}{Speed}

Time will they pass each other =\frac{0.2}{5}

                                                   =0.04 hours

Hence  they will pass each other in 0.04 hours
