Answer:

A------>_40km/hr____________________50 km/hr_ <-------B

Speed of the first Train Let A is 40 Km/hr and Second Train B is 50 km/hr.

They run opposite to each other, then,

Relative or Effective Speed of the Trains Become,= 40 + 50 = 90 km/hr = 90 x 5/18 =25 m/sec

Length of The first train is 180m and second train is 220 m.

To cross each Other, They need to cross their own length i.e.

(180 +220 = 400)m with effective speed 25 m/sec.

<______180m________><_____120m_____>

So they will cover 400 m with speed 25 m/sec in = 400/25=16 secs.
