Hey there .... here's the answer to your question.....
The distance b/w the towns A & B is 750 km.....
let both the trains meet at distance of x km from town A......
let the slower train start its journey from town A ......... (you can take it the other way round)
For slower train...........
Speed = 60 km/h
distance = x km
:. time taken = x/60
for faster train from town B ..............
Speed = 90 km/h
distance = 750-x km
:. time = (750-x)/90
THE TIME TAKEN BY BOTH THE TRAINS TO MEET EACH OTHER WILL BE THE SAME..
x/60 = (750-x)/90 => x = 300 km
time taken by slower train = time taken by faster train = x/60= 300/60 =
5 hours (ans.)
hope it helps..........

Answer:
i,e., 60 X + 90 X = 750
150 X = 750
= x= 5
Step-by-step explanation: thus, the trains met after 5 hours
