The distance between their top is 5m.

Given data :

Heights of two trees = 7m and 4m

Base distance = 4m

Now,we have to solve this problem using Pythagoras theorem of right angle triangle.

To form a right angle triangle in this scenario,

Base = The base distance = 4m

Height = Difference between the height of two trees = (7-4)= 3m

And,the hypotenuse will be the distance of their tops.

So,the distance of their tops = ✓(4)²+3²= ✓16+9= ✓25= 5 m (answer)
