the two triangles are equal in areas, if the line, segment joining their remaining
vertices is bisected by the common base .​

AO = OC ( GIVEN )

angle AOB= angle OCB (OPPOSITE)

angle BAC= angle ACD (ALTERNATE INTERIOR ANGLE (A.I.A))

therefore it is equal.
