two tungsten bulbs of power 50 W and 60 W work on 220 V potential difference. if they are connected in parallel, how much current flow in the main conductor ? ​

P = V/R

P1 = V/R1

=> 50W = 220V/R1

=> R1 = 220V/50W

         = 4.4 Ω

P2 = V/R2

=> 60W = 220V/R2

=> R2 = 220V/60W

          = 3.6 Ω

I1 =V/R1

   => 220V/4.4 Ω

    =>50 A

I2 = V/R2

    => 220V/3.6 Ω

    => 60 A

Therefore, total current flowing in main conductor = I1 + I2 = 50 A + 60 A = 110 A
