Answer: Rs 18/-

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the cost price of the mixed variety of rice be Rs. x per kg.

The cost of 1 kg rice of first type is 21 per kg

The cost of 1 kg rice of second type is Rs 15 per kg

By rule of alligation, we have:

Cost of of 1 kg rice of first type is x-15

Cost of of 1 kg rice of second type is 20-x

∴ (20 - x)/(x-15) =2/3

  60 - 3x = 2x - 30

   5x = 90

   x = 18.

 The cost per kg of mixture is Rs 18/-

  Hope this helps.
