Correct Question is in the attachment –

Here I'm showing calculation for Mean cost at which its per kg being sold :

⇢ Original × (100 - 16⅔)% = 25

  • Changing it into number

⇢ Original × (1 - 1/6) = 25

⇢ Original × 5/6 = 25

⇢ Original = 25 × 6/5

⇢ Original = 5 × 6

⇢ Original = Rs. 30 per kg

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀───────────────

By Mixture and Allegation method :

1st Variety (Rs/kg) 2nd Variety (Rs/kg)

26 40

Mean (Rs/kg)

30

10 : 4

  • Dividing both by 2

5 : 2

So the mixture is in ratio 5 : 2 and total mixture is 70 kg. Now we have 70/(5 + 2) = 70/7 = 10

• 5 × 10 = 50 kg

• 2 × 10 = 20 kg

Hence, Option (e) 50, 20 is correct.
