Two vectors of magnitude 20N and 15N are directed along x axis and y axis respectively.The magnitude of their resultant Y component is:

since y axis represents the component along the y axis...

but if u want resultant of both then the answer will be

R = √(20)^2 + (15)^2 2(20)(15)cos90

R = √ 400+225

R = √625

resultant is 25 N
